System planning for: linen, material, pharmaceutical, and instrument/case cart distribution as well as waste and soiled linen collection. CT +Associates provides transport system planning including traffic/volume analysis, schematic layouts and specifications. Through our engineering associates, IROS Elevator Design, we can identify alternatives for new elevators, and other transport systems such as:

Services focus on supply, instrument, equipment, staff and patient flows into, within and from the surgical suite. We assist the client and the architect/planner understand current precepts, their limitations and strengths, and we strive to establish a vision for both operational and functional/facility improvement. Recommendations typically include revised and enhanced materials flows, layouts of the surgical suite, clean core(s), and point-of-use scope reprocessing areas.

These services are provided either in an audit format to improve current operations, or very often in preparation of a major systems initiative, typically a new building program. CT +Associates can assess current operations, staffing, policies, equipment and reprocessing techniques. A client may wish to use our services to document the need for new equipment, to justify the replacement of certain capital items, or in anticipation of increasing surgical caseloads.

Frequently we are asked to assist hospitals transition to a new surgical supply system that may include a modified or complete case cart system. We also assist architects in program development, space and equipment planning for new sterile reprocessing departments.
